Here’s A First Look Inside Apple Marina Bay Sands

Apple’s stunning new floating store at Marina Bay Sands is set to open in Singapore on Thursday (Sep 10) at 10am local time.

The store’s facade received a fair amount of attention in recent weeks, revealing a space-ship-like dome, sitting directly on the waters of Marina Bay.

According to Apple, the sphere is a first-of-its-kind, all-glass dome structure that is fully self-supported, comprised of 114 pieces of glass with only 10 narrow vertical mullions for structural connection.

Here’s a look at the official photos from Apple before the official store opening.

As we are still coping with COVID-19 as a nation, visits to Apple Marina Bay Sands on Thursday will be by appointment only.

Do reserve your spot at apple.com/sg/marinabaysands.

Nike.com Celebrates Its 2nd Anniversary with Special Drops and 20% Off The Anniversary Collection

Nike.com is celebrating its 2nd anniversary in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan and Thailand and boy, are we in for a treat.

Sneakerheads will get to enjoy Anniversary Week in two ways: high heat drops and special discounts on the Anniversary Collection.

High Heat Drops

First up, the upcoming drops for this week. Starting from November 3, Nike.com will be releasing a string of special releases, consisting of both new releases and restocks.

Here are some of our favourite pairs that are dropping this week.

1) Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Not For Resale”

Sending a strong message to resellers, the upcoming Air Jordan 1 “Not For Resale” advocates the wearing of sneakers, not the selling of it. Blatant text such as “Not For Resale” and “Please Crease” around the shoe is a clear indication that these bad boys were made for beating.

Release date: November 7
Price: S$239
Buy here: Nike.com

2) PSG x Air Jordan 1 Retro High
Due to arrive in November worldwide, Nike.com’s Anniversary Week kicks off with a belter. To commemorate Paris Saint-Germain becoming the first football club to be outfitted by the Jordan brand, the PSG x Air Jordan 1 is a special one, particularly for football-loving sneakerheads.

Release date: November 7
Price: S$239
Buy here: Nike.com

3) Nike Air Presto Mid x ACRONYM
Easily one of the best-looking collaborations of the year, the ACRONYM-designed Nike Air Presto Mid is a sight to behold. Restocking in all three colourways, believe me when I say that second chances like these do not come easy.

Restock date: November 6

4) Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Court Purple” and “Pine Green”
Following their debut in September, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High in “Court Purple” and “Pine Green” are making a return for Anniversary Week, giving you a second chance to cop the pairs.

A highlight of both pairs, of course, is their coloured toe boxes, which gives them a pop of colour not normally afforded on the silhouette.

Restock date: November 4
Price: S$239
Buy from: Nike.com

5) Humidity x Nike SB Dunk High
If you’re hoping to make a statement on your feet, look no further than the recently-released Humidity x Nike SB Dunk High. For the unacquainted, these bad boys are draped completely in rich gold leather with a removable red bow-tie to match.

Its aesthetics are inspired by the jazz culture of New Orleans, the home state of Humidity, which is evident in the use of purple velvet on the inside, a nod to the lining of instrument cases.

Restock date: November 4
Price: S$199
