The Hundreds Teams Up With Pestle & Mortar on a Capsule Collection

Californian streetwear label The Hundreds has just released a capsule collection in collaboration with Malaysian label Pestle & Mortar Clothing.

The collaboration, which premiered at SneakerLAH last weekend, consists of a set of two T-shirts, a coach’s jacket and a dad hat.

Each item on the collection shares a common trait of showcasing the hibiscus, the national flower of Malaysia.

The founders of Pestle & Mortar admitted that they were huge fans of The Hundreds blog growing up, which goes to show how far the Malaysian label has come since its inception.

“I got my first The Hundreds hat from Arnold way back in ‘08 and since then we have looked to the brand for inspiration in the way we do business,” said Hugh Koh, creative director and co-founder of PMC.

“This has truly been a dream come true for us – and it helps to encourage our fellow Southeast Asians in the industry that it isn’t impossible to grow beyond our physical (and sometimes mental) borders and boundaries” added Koh.

The collection is available now at Pestle & Mortar Clothing Bangsar, as well as the online stores for Major Drop and The Hundreds.

Here’s Your Last Chance To Buy The Pestle & Mortar x Rastaclat Batik-Inspired Bracelets

Malaysian fashion label Pestle & Mortar Clothing released earlier in August its first international brand collaboration with US-based Rastaclat to celebrate the Southeast Asian heritage of batik.

The collaboration resulted in beautifully crafted batik-inspired bracelets in the form of Rastaclat’s distinct shoelace style.

While the lace-like bracelet has been on sale in Malaysia since late August, it is also available for Singapore residents via Major Drop’s online store.

Retailing at S$25.37, limited quantities remain, so be sure to snap them up before they’re gone completely.
