Here’s A List of the Most Expensive Resell YEEZYs in 2016

StockX and Highsnobiety have jointly published the average prices of resold YEEZYs in 2016. The data aggregates deadstock sneaker sales from across the web including StockX’s marketplace.

Despite the multiple releases of adidas YEEZY Boost models in 2016, the top five highest sold resell YEEZYs last year were from Kanye West’s Nike Air collaboration.

In fact, the top three were from the 2014 Air Yeezy 2 collection, with the ‘Red October’ model coming out on top – selling for a whopping US$4,160. Fourth and fifth place were from the first generation 2009 Air Yeezy line.

These of course are average prices. The highest peak came from the Air Yeezy 2 ‘Solar Red’, which sold for US$7,000 in June last year.

On average, the most valuable resell model from the adidas collaboration was the adidas YEEZY Boost 350 ‘Turtledove’, which is arguably the most likely to come to mind when you think adidas x YEEZY.

The label, which was founded by Kanye West, houses big name artists including Big Sean, Desiigner, Tyga, Pusha T, John Legend and West himself.

Hype around the festival has been growing, particularly after a social media marketing campaign that involved some of the world’s top supermodels including Alessandra Ambrosio, Bella Hadid, Hailey Baldwin and Emily Ratajkowski, all of whom made Instagram postings about the event.

Access to the festival isn’t cheap either. Prices start at US$1,500 which includes a flight from Miami to the private island, with meals and tickets included.

The first-ever Fyre Festival takes place on April 28-30 and May 5-7. More announcements are expected to be made on additional performers.

Kanye West Claims Rappers Stole His Stage Idea, Gets Called Out Instead

A couple of days ago during his performance in Edmonton, Canada, Kanye West called out imitators who have been stealing his tour aesthetics.

“This the original, accept no imitations!” said West on stage. “You with the rap God right now.

“[Others] be copying our sh*t bro. Stealin’ our sh*t, stealin’ our stages. Copying our sh*t one-to-one.”

While Kanye didn’t exactly name names, many believed the outburst was targeted at Drake, who used similar overhanging lights during the latter’s summer tour.

Well in an ironic twist of fate, South African rapper Cassper Nyovest has turned the tables on Yeezy with one Instagram post. The image showed Nyovest on a floating stage last year, way before Kanye had his own.

A photo posted by Refiloe Phoolo 🇿🇦 (@casspernyovest) on

Nyovest also took to Twitter saying: “Woke up to my name on American blogs about how I possibly stole kanye’s stage. We did this a year ago already. lol. Ya Neh.”

Social media users were also quick to mention that Usher had a similar configuration during his “OMG Tour” back in 2013.

Even Drake himself had a floating stage – albeit a circular one – during his” Would You Like a Tour” in 2013.

It’ll a wonder to see how Kanye gets out of this one. If he’s taking ideas from elsewhere, he probably shouldn’t be calling others out for doing the same.
