The beloved Air Max 97 will once again serve as the canvas for another collaboration between Nike and UNDEFEATED.
Kicking off 2021 on a literal bright note, this year’s UNDEFEATED x Nike Air Max 97 will feature a clean white base, contrasted with gum soles and highlights in blue and gold.
The shoe will be launching in Singapore this Friday (Jan 8, 2021) on Nike.com from 10am.
The launch coincides with the global Nike release, with the shoe priced at S$259.

Nike’s unique hybrid silhouette, the Air VaporMax 97, is getting the gold treatment following last year’s highly popular Air Max 97 “Metallic Gold” colourway.
The silhouette blends the best of the past and future by featuring the uppers of the original Air Max 97 “Metallic Gold” sitting atop a VaporMax sole unit.
The pair is the third colourway of the Air VaporMax 97 hybrid silhouette, following the “Silver Bullet” and “Japan” versions which were released earlier this year.
The Nike Vapor Max 97 “Metallic Gold” will be available online from Nike.com (9am) and physically at sneaker retailer Limited Edt on May 17.

Singapore’s top sneaker retailer Limited Edt has just announced that the retro-inspired “South Beach” colourways of Nike’s Air Max 97 and Air Max 1 are now available in-store.

Alongside the “South Beach” colourway, LE also revealed that there is a restock of the Air Max 97 “Triple White”.
Available now, the Air Max 97 will retail for S$239 while the Air Max 1 will be priced at S$199.
Probably one of the best colourways on the Air Max 97 is about to drop in a couple of days, and the pair is landing on our shores too.
Dressed up in summer vibes from the late 80s and early 90s, the “South Beach” is the pinnacle of this generation’s obsession with all things retro, and in a very good way.
The pair combines white, pink and mint green hues in a way that’s reminiscent of Miami Vice and early 90s TV shows.
The Air Max 97 “South Beach” will be dropping on Nike.com on March 31, and it’ll also be available for Malaysian sneakerheads as well.
Update: The initial listing on Nike’s calendar was April 1. This has been pushed up to March 31.
Don’t miss out on this one!
Hybrids and reconstructions are part and parcel of Nike’s approach in paying homage to the past while keeping things fresh.
The latest combination which debuted earlier this year is the Air VaporMax 97, which as the name suggests combines the upper of an Air Max 97 with the sole unit of an Air VaporMax.
The upcoming colourway of the VaporMax 97 pays tribute to the Air Max 97’s OG release of the “Silver Bullet”, inspired by the bullet trains of Japan.
Similar to the original, the upcoming pair blends leather and mesh in silver and white, along with its contrasting red mini Swoosh.
The pair will be available on March 30 from Nike.com at 9am for S$299/RM849.
In a follow-up to last year’s CR7 Air Max 97 “Golden Patchwork”, Nike and Cristiano Ronaldo are set to release a new colourway of their collaborative sneaker this April.
Previewed back in January, the sneaker adds to the partnership between Ronaldo and the Swoosh after the footballer became the third athlete, after Michael Jordan and LeBron James, to sign a lifetime sponsorship deal with Nike.
Inspired by Ronaldo’s humble beginnings when his mother would sew up holes in his shoes to save money, the latest colourway pays homage to his home country of Portugal.
The shoe will take on a predominantly Red upper with oddly-placed stitching to give the pair its patched-up aesthetics. A golden Swoosh on its lateral side alongside CR7’s branding on the heel provide subtle contrast.
The Nike x CR7 Air Max 97 “Portugal Patchwork” arrives in store on April 24.

Update: Limited Edt has officially announced balloting details for the pair in Singapore. Read here.
One of the most coveted pairs of sneakers last year is set to make its global release in just a matter of days, and it looks like Singapore will be getting the drop as well.
Beloved sneaker retailer Limited Edt has just teased on Instagram that it will be releasing the Air Max 97/1 x Sean Wotherspoon in Singapore.
The post doesn’t include a lot of details, but promises updates “real soon”. Globally, the drop is expected to take place on Air Max Day, which falls on March 26.
Most sneakerheads, especially Air Max fans, would consider this drop as a must cop, particularly with how rare they were just a couple of months ago. Back in November, before the shoe’s limited release in Complex Con, it was auctioned for over US$90,000.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Singapore release of the Nike Air Max 97/1 x Sean Wotherspoon.
Update: Limited Edt announced that the public ballot for the pair will take place on March 26. Ballot entries can only be obtained by purchasing a pair of Air Max shoes from any LE outlet (except the outlet store) before March 25. Read more here.
Air Max Day is fast approaching and if you’re planning to stock up on a couple of fresh pairs, you’re in luck.
Ever since Nike.com entered Southeast Asia, sneakerheads have been able to pick up pairs on the fly right from our computer screens. No exception has been made here when it comes to their Air Max collection of sneakers, most of which are available for purchase right now on the site.
Here are 5 must-buy pairs to cop right now for men and women.
1) Nike Air Max 97 Ultra ’17
Decked out in Metallic Gold, the Air Max 97 Ultra ’17 is the golden brother of the famed Silver Bullet. The Ultra ’17 label indicates its reconstruction with mesh and knit for a lighter weight and a sleeker cut for the new generation of sneakerheads.
That’s not all. The silhouette also comes in two more colourways, one in Black and another in smooth creamy White.
2) Nike Air VaporMax Black Pop
The VaporMax has been a growing success for Nike, particularly with the silhouette’s distinct translucent full-length Air unit. The “Black Pop” colourway, for instance, comes lock and loaded with a Rush Orange sole unit to constant its black upper for a simple yet impactful colour combination like no other.
3) Nike Air Max 180
With everything old becoming new again, Nike’s Air Max line has a host of retro sneakers that better now than ever. One of these silhouettes is the Air Max 180, in its throwback colourway of white, red and ultramarine.
Matching perfectly with long with socks and your latest vintage pickup, take the 180 for a spin just in time for Air Max Day.
4) Nike Air VaporMax Flyknit OG
Honouring old-school OG colourways, this pair of Air VaporMax is part of Nike’s heritage collection, representing both the past and the present. The colourway is familiar and reminiscent of a not-so-distant past of Air Max shoes, this time on the innovative VaporMax silhouette.
The striking University Red on the Swoosh gives it an added ‘pop’ and contrast to stand out from the already sleek pair.
5) Nike Air Max 270
While the VaporMax took to the shelves in 2017, this year’s newbie in Nike’s Air Max lineup is the Air Max 270. This new dynamic silhouette takes on the tallest ever Air unit, measuring at 32mm, at its heel.
It’s also the first Air Max sneaker that was designed for lifestyle purposes as its primary purpose, as opposed to sports and fitness.
1) Nike Air Max 90
The Women’s edition of the Air Max 90 honours its heritage by providing a supportive upper and top of the range cushioning to keep your feet comfortable while looking stylish AF.
This colourway of the 90 mixes pink-beige with gunsmoke grey, atop a fitting gum sole for the perfect faded jeans accompaniment.
2) Nike Air Max 95 Premium
With many retro sneakers making a comeback, the one at the forefront right now is arguably the Air Max 95. Unbeknownst to many, the Air Max 95 was designed with the human body as its inspiration. The sole represents the spine, while the layered waves act as muscle fibres and loopholes as a rib cage.
This premium remake of the classic shoe is made from leather for that luxe feel and texture.
3) Nike Air VaporMax Flyknit “Black/Vintage Wine”
While deceivingly looking like a plain black colourway, this version of the VaporMax has subtle hints of Vintage Wine throughout the Flyknit weave on its upper. The result is a simple but elegant piece of footwear that is worthy of any occasion.
4) Nike Air VaporMax Flyknit “Grey Multicolor”
On the other spectrum, the “Grey Multicolor” is the very opposite of the subtlety of the previous pair. Taking on a very distinct and eye-catching Multicolor weave on a predominantly grey base, the appropriately named “Grey Multicolor” is as striking as it goes and for good reason.
5) Nike Air Max 270
Similar to the men’s pair, the Air Max 270 is the hottest general release from the Swoosh and is set to arrive in more colourways in the lead up to Air Max Day. Three colourways are now available, including the perfectly balanced Ocean Bliss colour scheme with its contrasting red Air unit at its heel.

Following the “Golden Patchwork” Air Max 97 and Air Force 1, Nike and Cristiano Ronaldo have debuted a brand new colourway for their ongoing collaboration.
Paying homage to Ronaldo’s home turf and national squad Portugal, the pair features a red aesthetic and the collection’s signature patchwork stitching on the overlays.
For the unacquainted, the “Patchwork” outlook of the collaboration is inspired by Ronaldo’s humble upbringing, in which his mother would patch up his shoes whenever there were holes in them.
Besides the red laces as seen in the photos, the shoe also comes with yellow and green lace options, adding on to the Portuguese connection.
Finishing the look is a black heel tab with Air Max and CR7 branding in gold.
