Nike’s unique hybrid silhouette, the Air VaporMax 97, is getting the gold treatment following last year’s highly popular Air Max 97 “Metallic Gold” colourway.

The pair is the third colourway of the Air VaporMax 97 hybrid silhouette, following the “Silver Bullet” and “Japan” versions which were released earlier this year.
The Nike Vapor Max 97 “Metallic Gold” will be available online from Nike.com (9am) and physically at sneaker retailer Limited Edt on May 17.

Nike Air Max 97 “South Beach” Drops in Singapore on March 31

Probably one of the best colourways on the Air Max 97 is about to drop in a couple of days, and the pair is landing on our shores too.
Dressed up in summer vibes from the late 80s and early 90s, the “South Beach” is the pinnacle of this generation’s obsession with all things retro, and in a very good way.
The pair combines white, pink and mint green hues in a way that’s reminiscent of Miami Vice and early 90s TV shows.

Nike VaporMax 97 “Silver Bullet” Drops in S’pore and M’sia on March 30
Hybrids and reconstructions are part and parcel of Nike’s approach in paying homage to the past while keeping things fresh.
The latest combination which debuted earlier this year is the Air VaporMax 97, which as the name suggests combines the upper of an Air Max 97 with the sole unit of an Air VaporMax.
The upcoming colourway of the VaporMax 97 pays tribute to the Air Max 97’s OG release of the “Silver Bullet”, inspired by the bullet trains of Japan.
Similar to the original, the upcoming pair blends leather and mesh in silver and white, along with its contrasting red mini Swoosh.
The pair will be available on March 30 from Nike.com at 9am for S$299/RM849.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s Air Max 97 “Portugal Patchwork” Gets A Release Date

In a follow-up to last year’s CR7 Air Max 97 “Golden Patchwork”, Nike and Cristiano Ronaldo are set to release a new colourway of their collaborative sneaker this April.
Previewed back in January, the sneaker adds to the partnership between Ronaldo and the Swoosh after the footballer became the third athlete, after Michael Jordan and LeBron James, to sign a lifetime sponsorship deal with Nike.
Inspired by Ronaldo’s humble beginnings when his mother would sew up holes in his shoes to save money, the latest colourway pays homage to his home country of Portugal.
The shoe will take on a predominantly Red upper with oddly-placed stitching to give the pair its patched-up aesthetics. A golden Swoosh on its lateral side alongside CR7’s branding on the heel provide subtle contrast.
The Nike x CR7 Air Max 97 “Portugal Patchwork” arrives in store on April 24.

One of the most coveted pairs of sneakers last year is set to make its global release in just a matter of days, and it looks like Singapore will be getting the drop as well.
Beloved sneaker retailer Limited Edt has just teased on Instagram that it will be releasing the Air Max 97/1 x Sean Wotherspoon in Singapore.
The post doesn’t include a lot of details, but promises updates “real soon”. Globally, the drop is expected to take place on Air Max Day, which falls on March 26.
Most sneakerheads, especially Air Max fans, would consider this drop as a must cop, particularly with how rare they were just a couple of months ago. Back in November, before the shoe’s limited release in Complex Con, it was auctioned for over US$90,000.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Singapore release of the Nike Air Max 97/1 x Sean Wotherspoon.
Update: Limited Edt announced that the public ballot for the pair will take place on March 26. Ballot entries can only be obtained by purchasing a pair of Air Max shoes from any LE outlet (except the outlet store) before March 25. Read more here.

Nike and Cristiano Ronaldo Add A New Colourway To Their Air Max 97 “Patchwork” Collaboration

Following the “Golden Patchwork” Air Max 97 and Air Force 1, Nike and Cristiano Ronaldo have debuted a brand new colourway for their ongoing collaboration.
Paying homage to Ronaldo’s home turf and national squad Portugal, the pair features a red aesthetic and the collection’s signature patchwork stitching on the overlays.
For the unacquainted, the “Patchwork” outlook of the collaboration is inspired by Ronaldo’s humble upbringing, in which his mother would patch up his shoes whenever there were holes in them.
Besides the red laces as seen in the photos, the shoe also comes with yellow and green lace options, adding on to the Portuguese connection.
Finishing the look is a black heel tab with Air Max and CR7 branding in gold.
