Dior and Jordan Brand Reveal Their New Air Jordan 1 Collaboration

Dior has officially lifted the veil of its collaboration with the Jordan Brand at the Fall 2020 Dior men’s show in Miami.

Maison Dior and Dior men Artistic Director Kim Jones revealed that the first silhouette from the Dior x Jordan collection would the iconic Air Jordan 1 High.

The partnership is a timely one, with the Jordan Brand commemorating its 35th anniversary and Dior celebrating its first men’s collection debut in the US.

The silhouette will be made in Italy to “superlative standards”, using fine calf-leather in Dior Gray. The familiar Jumpman Wings logo will also be remixed with the words “AIR DIOR.” Dior branding can also be found on the icy outsoles as well as the usual “Nike Air” tab on the tongue.

The most prominent element however would be the Swoosh, which features the Dior Oblique jacquard motif. The same motif makes an appearance on the insoles.

The limited-edition Air Jordan I High OG Dior sneaker will be available globally in April 2020 in select Dior stores.

The Highly-Anticipated Air Jordan 11 “Concord” Drops in S’pore and M’sia on Dec 8

Originally released in 1995, one of the most iconic pairs worn by Michael Jordan is making its way back onto the shelves.

While many associate Jordan’s reign with the Air Jordan 1, the Air Jordan 11 easily comes close having been the pair that MJ wore after returning to basketball post-retirement.

Although the term “grail” has been thrown around onto many silhouettes and sneakers these days, it’s no understatement in saying that the Air Jordan 11 “Concord” belongs amongst the grails of the world.

In fact, the re-release of the “Concord” has been racking up a lot of talk-abouts recently and may easily become of the hottest selling pairs of 2018.

This remastered version is an exact recreation of the pair first worn by MJ, equipped with the original patent leather cut and the number 45 on the heel, resembling MJ’s jersey number when he returned, as his number 23 jersey had been retired.

The pair drops in Singapore and Malaysia on December 8 on Nike.com at 12pm (local time).

Here’s A First Look At Paris Saint-Germain’s Air Jordan 1

Earlier this month, Air Jordan paid tribute to French football champions Paris Saint-Germain with the Air Jordan 5 “Paris”.

This time, Air Jordan is teaming up with the football side on the Air Jordan 1 “PSG”.

These AJ1s feature a midsole striping on the side of the sneaker near the heel, a callback to the well-known vertical stripe in middle of the club’s home jersey.

A PSG x Jumpman logo can be found on the inside of the tongue while the insole reads “ICI C’EST PARIS” which translates to “Here is Paris”, the club’s slogan.

The reveal came courtesy of @pinoe77, along with a caption that emphasised its limited release.

Drop details for the pair of sneakers are still unconfirmed, stay tuned as we will keep you guys updated on the release.

Virgil Abloh Teases The Off-White x Air Jordan 1 “UNC” at MET Gala 2018

The newly appointed artistic director of Louis Vuitton and founder of Off-White, Virgil Abloh, attended this year’s MET Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute and revealed a gem on his Instagram feed.

Besides rocking them on feet, Abloh also revealed the Off White x Air Jordan “UNC” on his social media account. The pair is expected to be released next month.

The post finally confirms months of rumours regarding the shoe’s release and marks the first time it has been acknowledged by Abloh or anyone associated with the labels. Abloh accompanied the post with a caption that probably suggests that more colourways are on the way, saying, “When I was a kid, Jordan showed up to the playoffs with a new colorway every trip. game one later.”

Off-White’s Instagram page also teased the new colourway, with Abloh adding the text “FOR RED CARPET ONLY” and his last name “ABLOH” on the midsole of the sneakers.

While neither Abloh nor Nike has revealed an official release date, word on the street has pegged the drop for June 9. As always, stay tuned for more details.

Two New Levi’s x Air Jordan 4 Colourways To Drop in June 2018

Following the hyper-popular blue denim Levi’s x Air Jordan 4 that released earlier this year, Levi’s and the Jordan Brand are set to drop two new colourways this mid-year.

According to several sources including @pinoe77 and @zsneakerheadz, white denim and black denim versions of the silhouette are set to drop on June 16 this year.

The black edition is rumoured to be arriving in the same quantity as the blue denim, while the white one will be the most limited of the three.

Both pairs will be arriving in Men’s and Grade School sizing.

No official announcement or images has been released as of yet, but some Photoshop renderings of the possible look have surfaced online, giving us a good idea of how the final product will look like.

Here Are The Remaining Off-White x Nike Sneakers Rumoured For 2018

Last year’s “The Ten” collection by Nike and Virgil Abloh’s Off-White were probably the most talked about sneaker collaboration of 2017. Nearly every sneaker convention in the world towards the later part of the year had sneakerheads flexing their favourite pairs from the collection.

That momentum doesn’t seem to be wavering any time soon, particularly after a very strong showing of demand for the recently released Off-White x Nike VaporMax in black last March.

According to several insiders, including the fast-growing @py_rates, Nike and Off-White are nowhere close to being done with their ongoing partnership. In fact, if the rumours are to be believed, there are enough sneaker releases to last the whole year.

Here are some of the rumoured sneakers slated for a release in 2018 from Nike and Off-White.

1) Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 ’07 in White

Originally part of the “AF100” pack to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Air Force 1 silhouette, the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 ’07 was a ComplexCon exclusive release. However, in early March, official product images were uploaded onto Nike.com, suggesting that a wider release may be in the cards. There isn’t a rumoured release date as of yet, so stay tuned for more details on this one.

2) Off-White x Nike Air VaporMax Flyknit

[caption id="attachment_12736" align="alignnone" width="1000"] Image: Stadium Goods[/caption]

Right off the bat from the March 30th release of the Off-White x Nike Air VaporMax in black, it appears that there may be a follow-up in white dropping this April. U.K. retailer END. Clothing posted a teaser for the pair on its blog, stating that “a white-out counterpart to Virgil’s black re-issue is now confirmed”. Early pairs of the shoe also showed up at Stadium Goods back in February. While END. stopped short of stating a release date (only stating it was “coming soon”), @py_rates has revealed a potential April 14 drop.

3) Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 1 “UNC”

Rumours of an Off-White Air Jordan 1 in UNC colours have been around for a number of months but there still isn’t concrete information directly from the sources. However, reports do point towards a potential May 2018 release date. It’s unclear however as to whether the pair will be exclusive to a particular region as the previous Off-White x Air Jordan 1 in white was exclusive to Europe.

4) Off-White x Nike Blazer Studio Mid “Canvas”

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bg1drwql9U5/

According to @py_rates, there are a total of three Blazer Studio Mid colourways set to drop from Nike and Off-White this year. Kicking off the Blazer party is a light-coloured edition in Canvas and Pale Vanilla. The pair is expected to drop in July.

5) Off-White x Nike Blazer Studio Mid “Black”

The second of the three Blazer drops comes in the form of Black, contrasting both the rumoured Canvas pair as well as last year’s white version. The mock-up by @py_rates illustrates the pair with a predominantly black outlook, white Swoosh with orange tab and Nike branding tab on the tongue in white with red lettering. Rumoured to drop in September.

6) Off-White x Nike Air Max 90 in black

https://www.instagram.com/p/BgB0qcpAM7C

October 2018 is set to be a busy month for Off-White and Nike as they prepare to launch a series of shoes  during the month. The first of the lot is rumoured to be a new Air Max 90, this time in black, as illustrated by @py_rates above. The pair is a follow-up to the white/grey edition that released last year.

7) Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low

https://www.instagram.com/p/BhHsis9FL82

Sharing a similar aesthetic to the MoMA-exclusive pair, there appears to be a new Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low in black on the horizon. Based on the mock-ups however, it appears that this October’s edition will take on different materials from the traditional leather version from MoMA.

8) Off-White x Nike Zoom Fly

https://www.instagram.com/p/BhH7C7YFsNx

Following last year’s white version of the Zoom Fly, this year’s “The Ten” collection will include a Zoom Fly in black. The overall visual looks pretty similar to last year’s pair with the exception of the colour of its uppers. This one’s also expected to arrive in October 2018.

9) Off-White x Nike Air Max 97

https://www.instagram.com/p/BgTsIyyAqEt

Rumour has it that the Swoosh and Off-White are planning to release not one, but two new colourways of the Air Max 97 this November. The first is a straight-up colour swap from last year’s white to black, with an oversized Swoosh in white for contrast. The second however, showcases the first use of the colour “Menta” on an Off-White x Nike collaboration.

Of course, Nike and Off-White have yet to confirm these rumoured releases, so do stay tuned throughout the year for more updates as soon as we get them.

REMINDER: Nike’s Three Big Drops This Weekend (March 24)

Sean Wotherspoon Game Royal Tinker

This Saturday sees the release of not one, but three big drops from Nike and the Jordan Brand.

There’ll be a bloodbath to add items to carts, and trade-offs will be made to prioritise which to cop and which to drop.

So to make your life as easy as possible, here are some ways you can secure your pair of Nike’s three big drops this weekend.

1) Nike Air Max 97/1 x Sean Wotherspoon

sean wotherspoon singapore malaysiaArguably the most “hyped” pair amongst the three, the Air Max 97/1 x Sean Wotherspoon will also be the most limited in supply to cop. To get you started, you’d want to join as many online draws as possible, even the ones overseas. One of the most popular options is END Launches (Do note that submitting your payment details doesn’t mean you’ve secured the shoe; it’s still a ballot). Besides END, Sneakersnstuff also ships overseas, although at a higher shipping cost.

In Singapore, local retailer Limited Edt will be holding its own public ballot. To enter, customers are required to purchase a pair of Nike Air Max shoes to receive a ballot ticket. Read more on LE’s Facebook post here.

Alternatively, Nike.com in Singapore and Malaysia will also be dropping the shoes online on March 24 at 9am. This will be a race for the fastest fingers, so be sure you get up early and knock this one home.

2) Air Jordan 3 “Tinker”

The Air Jordan 3 “Tinker” has been one of the most talked about AJ3s in recent times, especially with Justin Timberlake rocking a version of the pair during his Super Bowl performance. Constructed based on early sketches by famous Jordan and Air Max designer Tinker Hatfield, the shoe is an embodiment of Nike’s approach in looking back to move forward.

Unfortunately, most international e-tailers like SNS are launching the shoe exclusively for their own regions, with the exception of END Launches, so give this one a go.

Of course, Nike.com will be releasing the shoe in Singapore and Malaysia as well, so do keep a look out for it at 9am on March 24.

3) Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Game Royal”

Following the highly-coveted Air Jordan 1 High “Bred Toe”, the upcoming “Game Royal” colourway is expected to match in anticipation. The upcoming pair is an alternate colourway to the popular “Royal” edition, trading most of the black sections of the older version with blue instead.

Two online raffles to take note of are Sneakersnstuff and END Launches. Locally, Nike.com will also be releasing in Singapore and Malaysia online at 9am on March 24.

If physical queues are your kinda thing, Limited Edt in Singapore will also be selling shoe on a first come first serve basis on Saturday at LE Hall of Fame (Vivo City) and LE Chamber (Marina Bay Sands).

Good luck!
