Here’s An Up-Close Look At The YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Butter”

With Pharrell Williams taking the headlines for the most hyped adidas releases this year so far, Kanye’s YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 is returning to the fray very shortly.

Set to launch in June, the “Butter” colourway of Mr West’s famed silhouette will be dropping globally and thanks to Yeezy Mafia, it appears that there’ll be new design changes from previous iterations.

The most prominent will be on the positioning of the “SPLY-350” text and stripe, which will now be placed on the medial (inner) side of the shoe instead of the lateral (outer) side.

From the images posted by Yeezy Mafia, it appears that the pair will look fairly similar to the “Cream White” colourway with yellower hues instead of cream.

Instagram user @ink3ufang also posted further close-ups of the pair in all its glory. Check them out below.

The YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Butter” was earlier reported as the replacement for the “Peanut Butter” which was initially expected to drop in June, but has since been shelved for unknown reasons.

Official Images of the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Surfaces, Sparking Rumours of Potential Release

Back in 2017, Off-White and Nike had an exclusive drop of their Air Force 1 collaboration at Complex Con, without any indication of a public release.

Recently, however, official Nike images of the shoe surfaced online, fueling expectations that the pair will get a wider release. While by no means confirmed, official images often point towards a future release.

The upcoming shoe doesn’t stray too far from the classic Air Force 1 silhouette, with subtle flourishes such as glossy tin foil effect on the Swoosh, an orange tab under the branding, a white plastic tag and a light blue inner lining. Not to mention the “AIR” text in black on the midsole for some contrast.

Arguably one of the biggest collaboration in the sneaker world last year, Off-White and Nike will be keen to extend the hype into 2018, with newer models underway.

Over the weekend, the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 appears to have a rumoured drop date of May 2018.

For a closer look at the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1, check it out below.

The Off-White x Air Jordan 1 “UNC” Might Be Dropping in May

A third colourway of the Air Jordan 1 from Off-White and Nike’s on-going partnership might be dropping as early as May 2018.

Donning the popular UNC colourway, based on the colours of Michael Jordan’s alma mater, the University of North Carolina, the pair has everything you’ve come to expect from an Off-White collaboration.

Featuring a deconstructed look, exposed stitching and text on its midsole saying “AIR” are just some of the many elements that define Off-White’s collaborations with Nike.

Now, thanks to intel from @py_rates, it appears that the shoe might be getting a May release date. Additional info also points towards the inclusion of orange stitching near the Swoosh branding.

Of course, no official confirmation has been made as of yet, and the image was indicated to be a mock up, so stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.

@Nike x @off____white will be back in May with yet another @Jumpman23 Jordan 1, this time using the UNC pair as inspiration. The pair will feature orange stitching, we’d love to know what you think to our mock up. Let us know what you think to the new colour-way in the comments below. #NoMoreSecrets 🏴

Samsung’s Latest TV Will Look Almost Invisible On Your Wall

Samsung presented its latest lineup of televisions at an event recently and ironically, they didn’t show much.

That’s because the newest range of QLED 4K TVs from the South Korean company has a new function that makes them look almost invisible on your wall.

By snapping a photo of the wall before you mount the television and setting it as your background, the television’s “Ambient Mode” is able to make itself look like a floating rectangle. This is partly thanks to its ability to place a digital shadow within its borders as if it was merely thin metal strips on a wall, instead of a screen.

While in “Ambient Mode”, the screen will also be able to display the time, the weather and news headlines.

Based on the press photos and several early reviews, it does appear that the TV blends into the walls. Samsung demonstrated this on a brick wall and a concrete one to great effect.

Of course, looking at it up-close will reveal its illusion, but a lot has to be said about its QLED technology to be able to mimic real-life lighting and appearance.

This is a natural progression for Samsung, which has been working towards making televisions a more visually seamless element of homes. Last year, the company introduced frames that allowed its screens to mimic paintings on a wall.

[caption id="attachment_12225" align="alignnone" width="980"] Image: Samsung[/caption]

It’s unclear as to when the TVs will be available in our region, although it is now available in the US from upwards of US$2,000.

An adidas Futurecraft 4D x Iniki Remix Might Actually Be Happening

The adidas I-5923, formerly known as the Iniki, is set to be fused with a 4D Futurecraft sole as part of a new series lineup by the Three Stripes.

That’s right, the shoe is expected to be the first of several releases under the new “adidas Hybrids” series launching this September, according to popular industry insider Yeezy Mafia.

As indicated in a social media post, the first colourway is expected to be the red/white variant of the I-5923, sitting atop the bright green full-length Futurecraft 4D sole.

Of course, the image is merely a rendering and the final product may have some differences. Only time will tell, but it is interesting to note what other future hybrids will come to light.
