Take A Closer Look At The size? x Henry Poole x adidas Originals NMD XR1 and R2

The adidas NMD silhouette has been the subject of hype for the past year or so, but it’s about to take on a brand new journey into ultimate luxury with an upcoming collaboration with size? and legendary tailor Henry Poole.

[caption id="attachment_6144" align="alignnone" width="1023"] Image: adidas Originals[/caption]

Inspired by the “Dinner Jacket” that was crafted by Henry Poole in the 1800s, the NMD XR 1 from the collection takes on a classic navy upper that was used on the iconic tuxedo with Grosgrain silk on its cage, the same material used on the lapels of the trademark jacket.

Finishing off the sneaker is a blacked out BOOST midsole with a white outsole and front midsole bumper.

The NMD R2 on the other hand features a child stripe flannel upper, the same fabric used on jackets worn by Sir Winston Churchill.

Take a closer look at the pairs here.

Kanye’s Promise For Mass YEEZY Releases Might Just Come True

Kanye West made a bold promise in 2015, pledging that his popular sneaker line would one day be available in mass quantities.

While releases in the past have seen a huge disparity between its supply and the overflowing demand for the shoes, a recent infographic published by Yeezy Mafia suggests that his promise might actually be coming to fruition.

Recent releases of the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 has seen quantities increase with every colourway, with the recent “Cream White” being the most available in the market.

A post shared by Yeezy Mafia (@yeezymafia) on

While the graphic doesn’t include the V1 releases, it’s interesting to note how high supply has risen since the drop of the Black Friday triplet.

Resale prices have also corrected itself with a recent decrease due to the increasing supply of the kicks. While YEEZY BOOST 350 V2s were once able to fetch over US$1,500, prices on reselling site StockX now float around US$500 to US$700 depending on colourway.

Regardless, both fans and resellers would be circling the upcoming release dates for the three remaining drops this year. The “Beluga 2.0” is expected to release in October, while the “Blue Tint” and “Semi Frozen Yellow” are slated for a December drop.

Crowd Amasses At ION Orchard For Louis Vuitton x Supreme Raffle Queue

Although the official queue time for the LV x Supreme raffle started at 7am, hundreds were already gathered outside the popular shopping mall from the night before.

The queue, of course, was for the opportunity to get a ballot number, auto-generated at random by an iPad. Any number between 1 to 350 would make its holder eligible for a raffle ticket to the collection’s drop on Friday.

Since then, many of the lucky 350 balloters have begun posting their raffle tickets online.

This meant that many who queued over night, and were unlucky enough to get a number outside of the eligible range, were left empty-handed.

adidas to Drop Two NMD_R1 Primeknit “French” Colourways on August 18

The latest talk of the town might be adidas’ upcoming NMD_R2 and NMD_CS2 drop this week, but the German sportswear giant isn’t giving up on its NMD_R1 silhouette anytime soon.

On August 18, two colourways – one in icy baby blue and another in grey – will be dropping, with French detailing on the front midsole bumper.

Both pairs take on a Primeknit upper and a solid colour base throughout.

While both colourways are for women, men can cop a size up if you’re interested.
