adidas has announced that the highly-anticipated collaboration with hit television series Game of Thrones will be releasing in Singapore later this month.
Ahead of the eight and final season of the widely-loved series, adidas will be releasing a collection of six limited-edition UltraBOOSTs, each taking on an iconic house or character.
Each pair features subtle references to their inspiration such as colours that represent particular houses as well as sigils on the tongue and mottos on the heel tags.
As with every pair of UltraBOOST, the collection features the signature BOOST midsole technology atop a Primeknit upper and heel counter.
The limited-edition adidas x Game of Thrones UltraBOOST will be released in Singapore on March 22, 2019, and will retail for S$280.
The Latest Trailer for Detective Pikachu Reveals Mewtwo Appearance
The Pokemon brand has seen a huge resurgence in the mainstream over the last couple of years, mostly thanks to the once omnipresent Pokemon Go mobile game.
As a result, it was only a matter of time before Hollywood studios jumped at the chance of making a live action Pokemon film.
Enter Detective Pikachu, the Pokemon movie that no one quite expected but are intrigued enough to pay a ticket for, no less due to the odd choice of voice actor in Ryan Reynolds for the title character.
In the latest trailer, we get a better glimpse of the film, including a preview of the other Pokemon that will make an appearance in the movie.
This includes the extremely powerful Mewtwo, which gained popularity as one of the rarest Pokemon to find and catch in the Game Boy games.
The movie has raised many eyebrows for its hyper-realistic look, particularly with the fur found on Pikachu. Regardless, I have a sneaky feeling this film is going to be a good one.
Check out the trailer below.
The Original Nike Mag From ‘Back To The Future 2’ Is Up For Auction
When it comes to grails, very few pairs come close to the Nike Mag, the legendary auto-lacing sneaker that proved all things science-fiction can one day be made reality.
Featured in the film Back To The Future 2 and worn by lead character Marty Mcfly, the sneaker features a grey and blue colourway alongside an auto self-lacing system.
The 1989 shoe, which was designed by iconic Nike designer Tinker Hatfield for the year 2015, was way ahead of its time, and despite new releases of actual self-lacing pairs, the original one that started it all is arguably the most coveted pair there is.
This exact original pair of the Mags which is used from the film is up for an auction on eBay by Shoezeum and is currently bidding at US$17,000. An auction last November saw the pair’s price tag rise up to US$200,000.
This time around, however, the shoes will only be available for an in-person pick up at the Portland area in the US.
The original pair is in a very fragile state, with the heels being broken into pieces. Check out below.

Game of Thrones will be returning for Season 7 this July, three months later than the April premieres of previous seasons.
Despite that, the seventh season of the world’s most popular TV show looks likely to be worth the wait, especially since this is its penultimate season – the series is set to end after season eight.
Diehard fans in Singapore can watch the premiere at the same time as the U.S. on July 17 at 9am, exclusively on HBO (Starhub Ch 601).
Unlike previous seasons, the upcoming one will only contain seven episodes instead of ten, as the show heads towards its conclusion.
The announcement wasn’t without its hiccups, after the show attempted to reveal the date through a block of ice on Facebook Live. Following three attempts to melt the ice block using flame-throwers, the date was finally revealed.
Nevertheless, we know the world’s is pretty excited for this, so be sure to mark your calendars.
This Trailer Will Make You Wanna Watch ‘Kong: Skull Island’ Right Away
In the world of film, there are trailers and then there are trailers. These short clips can make or break a movie before it even enter the theatres.
A great trailer doesn’t necessarily mean that the film will turn out as good though. We’ve had deceiving trailers such as the one for Suicide Squad – and boy, that was a poor film.
But nevertheless, the editing of the final trailer of Kong: Skull Island is so outstanding, the only appropriate way to show our appreciation is the price of a movie ticket.
Plus, with a cast that includes Academy Award winner Brie Larson, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman and John C. Reilly, it’s probably going to turn out alright.

Mahershala Ali’s year has gotten even bigger after winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor earlier today.
Ali won the award for his role in Moonlight which has gotten widespread praise amongst his peers and critics alike. He is now the first Muslim actor to have won an Oscar after being the first to be nominated for one.

Besides playing the role of Cottonmouth in the hit Netflix-Marvel series Luke Cage, a video of Ali’s speech during the SAG Awards went viral as he shared a personal account of being a Muslim son to a ordained Christian minister of a mother. It came shortly after President Trump’s “muslim ban” was put into place.
“My mother is an ordained minister. I’m a Muslim. She didn’t do backflips when I called her to tell her I converted 17 years ago. But I tell you now, you put things to the side. And I’m able to see her, and she’s able to see me,” said Ali at the SAG Awards.
“We love each other, the love has grown. And that stuff is minutiae, it’s not that important.”
Antoine Griezmann Is Voicing Superman In the Lego Batman Movie
Atlético Madrid footballer Antoine Griezmann might be known for his ability on the football pitch and his ‘Hotline Bling’ dance celebration, but his talents don’t end there.
The French striker has confirmed in a Facebook post that he will be voicing the character of Superman in the French-language version of the upcoming Lego Batman Movie.
In a video post, the in-form forward said that he was “happy to lend [his] voice to Superman in The Lego Batman Movie” in French.
Griezmann isn’t the only footballer involved, with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi taking on the role of The Flash in the French edition of the film.
While movie-goers in Singapore and Malaysia won’t get a chance to hear both footballers in the English-version of the movie, the animated project is expected to be a hit following the success of 2014’s The Lego Movie.
The Lego Batman Movie opens next month on February 9.
