Razer x BAPE “A Gaming Ape” Drops on Dec 4

Razer is taking its first foray into the world of streetwear collaborations with a bang, partnering with Japanese heavyweight A Bathing Ape.

The collection, aptly named “A Gaming Ape”, will take advantage of both Razer’s and Bape’s expertise, spanning across apparel, gaming peripherals and other gear.

These include a set of tees and a hoodie, alongside the noise-cancelling Razer Opus and DeathAdder V2 mouse.

The collection will launch on December 4, 2020 in the US and December 5, 2020 at 11am (Japan time) on Razer.com and BAPE.com.

Travis Scott x McDonald’s Apparel Collection Now Available For Purchase

As most of you would have heard by now, rapper Travis Scott and McDonald’s have teamed up on a marketing campaign for the Golden Arches, allowing fans of the musician to order his go-to meal at the fast food joint.

While the meal is currently exclusive to US customers only, the apparel collection is now available for purchase worldwide on Travis Scott’s online store.

The collection is a fairly extensive one as well, with around 25 tees to choose from, as well as hoodies, jackets, denim shorts, pants and more.

As expected, most pieces come co-branded with an amalgamation of the Cactus Jack and McDonald’s branding fused into one.

Besides apparel, there are also accessories such as a Happy Meal clutch, a metal lunch box, a McNugget-shaped pillow and more.

Travis Scott x McDonald’s Collaboration Is In The Works

Global fast food giant McDonald’s is collaborating with Travis Scott as part of a celebrity-focused marketing direction, according to a report by Business Insider.

Based on a leaked memo from the chief marketing officer of McDonald’s, Travis Scott has already signed an agreement for the team up, with more celebrity partnerships in the works.

“From his impossible-to-get Nike sneaker line, to a cereal collab with General Mills that sold out in 30 seconds, to a record-setting virtual concert series inside Fortnite, Travis Scott is the definition of big in culture,” McDonald’s CMO Morgan Flatley wrote.

“Beyond this, he is a true fan of McDonald’s and our craveable, iconic food,” she added in the memo. “He will resonate and spark excitement with our youthful multicultural customers, and has a few surprises to delight our crew and ensure they are part of the excitement.” 

According to the memo, it appears that official communications of the collaboration will roll out in early September, so stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks.

Starbucks x UNDEFEATED Collection Now Available in Singapore

The unlikeliest of collaborations between Starbucks and streetwear giant UNDEFEATED has dropped in Singapore.

The collection draws inspiration from streetstyle and sneaker culture, consisting of drinkware and accessories.

Splashes of black and neon green give the collection a distinct look, alongside the iconic Starbucks Siren and bold UNDEFEATED logo.

The collection, which includes a mug, tumblr, water bottle, cap, tote and pouch set, launches worldwide on July 15, 2020.

They are available in select Starbucks outlets as well as the flagship Starbucks store on LazMall.

Culture Cartel 2019: Street Culture Convention Returns In Dec

Asia’s first-of-its-kind all-encompassing street culture convention is back in Singapore at the F1 Pit Building from Dec 6 to 8.

Following its inaugural launch last year, the convention promises to be bigger and better, spanning more than 15,000 sq. ft. across three floors.

The three-day convention will feature brands, collectors and talents that encompass everything about Asia’s street culture. There will also be a series of talks, interviews, exhibitions, workshops and lucky draws.

BAPE x RETROSUPERFUTURE Collaborative Eyewear Collection Arrives on July 20

Legendary Japanese streetwear brand A Bathing Ape and Italian eyewear label RETROSUPERFUTURE are teaming up on a collection of co-branded sunglasses.

The collection consists of two of RSF’s frames, the Flat Top and the Drew Mama.

BAPE’s signature camo print can be found on the interior of the frames as well as the exterior of the temples on both eyepieces.

This “Made In Japan” series also marks the first time RETROSUPERFUTURE will be manufacturing eyewear outside of Italy.

Longtime collaborators adidas and UNDEFEATED are teaming up once again on the UltraBOOST 1.0 silhouette.

Adding on to the growing list of co-branded sneakers, both brands are set to release an all-black version of the UltraBOOST 1.0, aptly named “Blackout”.
