In the latest episode of Sneaker Shopping with Complex, Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan dropped by Stadium Goods in New York City to talk kicks and pick out some for himself.
During the episode, Jordan talked about buying sneakers when he was younger and touched upon some of his favourite silhouettes and colourways at the moment. Jordan also talked about sharing the same name as basketball legend Michael Jordan, and what that was like growing up.
While Jordan gets spotted mostly in Nikes or Jordans, the first pair that was highlighted were a pair of Timberland 6s, which reminds the actor of being back home in New Jersey.
Unbeknownst to many, Jordan was the first non-athlete to unbox a pair of the self-lacing Nike HyperAdapts, which was highlighted in the video. Other notable silhouettes that got a mention were the Nike Flyknit Racer, Tom Sachs x Nike Mars Yard 2.0, Nike Air Huarache, and Nike Air VaporMax.
Of course, it wouldn’t be called Sneaker Shopping without some actual sneaker shopping, and Jordan didn’t leave us disappointed. Purchasing a total of four pairs at US$4295.12, Jordan took home a pair of Off-White x Nike Air Presto, two Air Jordan 1 Retro High OGs and a Nike Air Max Plus TN Ultra.
