OCBC Cycle Returns This November, Giving Everyone A Chance To Be A Cyclist

The perfect fitness event for you and your friends is just around the corner – OCBC Cycle 2017.

Singapore’s largest mass cycling event is back this November 18 and 19, giving everyone a chance to ride on closed roads and expressways safely, regardless of cycling expertise.

Being a family-friendly event, the OCBC Cycle returns with popular non-competitive categories like The Sportive Ride (42km), Super Hero-themed The Straits Times Ride (23km) and the Mighty Savers® Kids and Family Ride.

The inclusion of non-competitive categories has been a huge hit in the past, allowing anyone and everyone to have a go at this cycling event without the pressure of competing professionally.

With the popularity of themed sporting events on the rise, The Straits Times has also designed ‘Super Hero’ T-shirts for participants in The Straits Times Ride, with cyclists encouraged to deck out their bikes, helmets, sunglasses or accessories in the most creative ‘Super Hero’ way.

Best dressed and decorated Super Heroes stand a chance to win a Casio EXILIM EX-FR100 Action Cam (worth S$629) when they post their selfies on social media with the hashtag #ocbccycle.

What’s more, participants need not worry about the hefty costs of purchasing bicycles as rental options are available on the event website.

Registration for OCBC Cycle 2017 is open and the non-competitive The Straits Times Ride will be priced at S$59 (U.P. S$67) for a limited time.

OCBC Cycle 2017 takes place on November 18-19 at the Singapore Sports Hub.
