Ed Sheeran has announced on Facebook that he will still be able to make it for his Asian concert dates from Singapore onwards. These dates will include Kuala Lumpur, which takes place right after his trip to the Lion City.
Sheeran was forced to cancel a string of shows Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong after the singer broke his arm and fractured his wrist.
However, after a follow-up visit to the doctor and undergoing physiotherapy, Sheeran has announced that he should be able to make it from the Singapore show onwards.
“Hey guys, so I had a follow-up visit to the doctor today and he said that with the physical therapy and whatnot, I should be alright to go from the Singapore show early next month,” said Sheeran.
Concert organiser AEG Presents confirmed that the shows in Singapore will indeed be in tact on Facebook, as seen below.
His concert in Osaka, Tokyo and Manila will be rescheduled but unfortunately his shows in Taipei, Seoul, Hong Kong and Jakarta will have to be cancelled. Sheeran did stress that he will ensure to find a way to make the shows happen in those cities some time in the future.
This is the first time Sheeran has ever had to cancel shows and his message on Facebook clearly shows his regret for having done so.
Nevertheless, Sheerios in Singapore and Malaysia can rest easy knowing that our favourite ginger singer will be performing here afterall.
