Taiwan’s streetwear giants Imperial Taels and Dssent have teamed up to pay homage to the legendary West Coast King of Rap, Tupac Shakur.

Alongside artist Vanz, the “Against the World” capsule collection takes inspiration from Tupac’s undisputed influence on street and hip hop culture, bringing together Oriental culture from the East and Western street art for an iconic masterpiece.

Tupac’s unmistakable porcelain prints, which he adorned on his bandana, can be found on the collection’s motifs and patterns. This includes a dragon as well as “Me Against The World” and “96” branding.

A limited edition cap also contains Tupac’s head on its tip, crafted in Imperial Taels’ standard 925 Sterling silver.

“In the 21 years since his passing, his work has spurred on countless individuals struggling to move on, becoming a beacon of light,” the brands said in a statement in Chinese.

In explaining the decision behind some of the collection’s motifs, the brands said, “When his music spread to the east, his image represented a majestic dragon up high in the sky.”
