While fans in Southeast Asia have been rushing to get hands on tickets to their concert in Singapore, Coldplay has announced that new music is on the way.

Following the unveiling of tour dates all around the world, the band took to social media to reveal that they’ll be working on an EP called Kaleidoscope.

The news will come as a pleasant surprise to fans as many believed that A Head Full of Dreams was the band’s final album. While an EP isn’t quite a full album, it will come as much relief to fans that the band will be working on new music.

Details such as release date and track list have yet to be announced, but fans can expect the Kaleidoscope EP to contain a similar sound to their current album as it shares the same name with an interlude track on A Head Full of Dreams.

Additionally, there may still be hope for fans who were unable to get their hands on tickets for the band’s Singapore show. Organisers have publicly said that they are currently working with the band management as well as the venue to release additional tickets to meet demand.

Further updates on that to come.
