Facebook has officially launched Instant Games for its Messenger and News Feed platforms, enabling cross-device gaming directly from Facebook apps.
The feature has been launched in 30 countries including Singapore as well as the US, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Sweden.
To see how this works, check out the video below.
Users can challenge a friend to a game directly from existing Facebook apps through the game controller icon near the bottom of the Messenger screen or discover games directly via the Messenger search field. Players can also play solo on Facebook News Feed.
There will also be a dedicated bookmark for Instant Games to allow users to easily view and replay their favourite titles across any platform.
Amongst the 17 games titles included in the initial launch are PAC-MAN, Space Invaders, Words with Friends: Frenzy, Track & Field 100m and Galaga.
Facebook is also working directly with some of the gaming industry’s top developers, particularly in mobile, including Konami, Taito, Zynga, and King.
Instant Games is now available on Facebook Messenger and News Feed in Singapore.
