“When the biggest need the baddest to do work, I answer the call,” wrote McGregor on his Twitter account.
The reveal comes a week after McGregor posted a photo of the behind-the-scenes work he did for the game, with him in a motion-capture suit.
Apart from McGregor, Game of Thrones star Kit Harington, known for his role as Jon Snow, will be playing the main villain in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

The franchise is no stranger to involving well-known actors and celebrities, having worked with the likes of Gary Oldman, Kiefer Sutherland, Idris Elba, Kevin Spacey and Jason Statham in the past.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launches on November 4 worldwide on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Activision will also be releasing a remastered version of the highly popular Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which will ship together with Infinite Warfare’s premium editions.
